Description Hi everyone,

here comes Scizor!

It is one of the many Pokemon in Pokemon 2nd Gen and also a part of my Papercraft-Collection now.

This time I chose a natural Background to give more life to the figure.

I added the pokeball, you can find as a texture on one of the stands from paperpokΓ©s, as a stand again.

thanks a lot i do my best! I also like the outcome because it was kinda hard to build (or lets say advanced level...).

you should! it is a little bit harder than other paperpokes i think because of some thin parts. but the outcome looks awesome. even i was stunned when i finally saw it standing there on my table.

I always use 80gsm paper, but don't you have the problem with the ink getting wet and it warpping?

hm not really o0 what glue do u use? maybe it is too wet.

PrincessStacie In reply to JouzuMania [2011-03-23 03:03:36 +0000 UTC]

its not the glue but like if one drop of water gets on the paper there's a spot where the ink just warps and bleeds out o.O

like this: [link]

ah okay. yes thats true, but that happens with every paperthickness doesn't it? I mean ink is ink no matter on what paper it is.

I was talking with Skelekitty and other papercrafters and they said that if you use 120gsm paper the ink won't do that because the extra thickness holds the ink in. I also know from experience that laser printer ink is melted onto the paper so it won't warp. Only ink jet that is powder and ink based warps on thinner paper

ok ... ._. (i do have inkjet)

well i am a lucky man then i suppose ?

but on the other hand i dont let water come close to my models, who would do that? in the picture you posted, it was sudden rain that made the ink run away.

and by the way: vanilles legs are made of 160gsm paper outside. there was a water drop on it when i opened my sparkling water bottle and the ink did not hold, too.

Well I tend to drink a lot of water while papercrafting so... It spills and gets on my hand cause it's cold. Condensation

Ooooh really nice work on this one! Wasn't it hard to keep the stretched-out arm up like that with paper that thin? (I normally use 100gm paper even for smaller models)

for this little models i use normal 80 gsm paper. stronger paper is too hard to fold here.
