Well that concludes another fun and enjoyable season of MLP. plenty of new material to work with in future pony art
(I adore this show and fandom so much) I have a much more elaborate piece in mind for the finale but I thought something with a bit more atmosphere would be interesting to experiment with and i feel its appropriate to the tone of the 2 parter.
also bringing back my 2D/ animation screenshot style.
not to make a big speech or anything but I thought I would say since its not long before the year ends, Thank you so much for who have specifically watched commented and supported my MLP art over the last 4 years
. I have created almost 500 pony related illustrations in that time 
. And I hope it has and still will inspired and entertain you. Heres to next season bringing us more epicness and joy to this wonderful magical world of Equestria.

Now THIS is what I was hoping would happen! Now, I could go on and on about how accurately I predicted what would happen in this episode, but that's not what I'm here for, so I won't. But I will say this:
I knew that Starlight Glimmer was going to go back in time to stop the Sonic Rainboom from happening, which would create an alternate present where the Mane Six never met, and therefore, never stopped her. That was Starlight's goal. However, what she couldn't have foresaw (and probably didn't even think about and/or care for at that time) is what else would have happened as a result of her changing the past.
The writers went over-the-top with this episode! They created alternate realities where all of the past major villains won (I won't drone on about that either, since most of us know what happened in each). But giving ALL of them a chance for victory? I was not expecting that. They did a great job with that.
But when Starlight and Twilight arrived in a time where everything was dead, I was surprised by Starlight's almost borderline indifference towards it. I was hoping for a "Sweet Celestia, what have I done?" moment from Starlight. And you have captured that almost PERFECTLY in this picture!
But she was so blinded by her own lust for revenge that she didn't stop to think about the long-term consequences of her actions. It's like Twilight and Zecora said, "even the smallest action can snowball and change the course of the future." (Not exactly what they said, I know, but close.)
Now, that all being said. I want to add that I was "satisfied" with how the episode ended. I wasn't thrilled, but I wasn't disappointed either. For one thing, Applejack made a very fair point that they couldn't just let a unicorn as powerful as Starlight just roam around Equestria freely after what she had done, and Starlight was willing to accept punishment for her actions. That is why I was satisfied with the episode.
I really wish I could give you more than four stars on this, and I'm sorry if I went off on a rant, I apologize. But I want you to know that you caused me to write all of my thoughts and feelings of what I think should have happened, and you captured it wonderfully in this picture. That does not happen very often. And just because this gets four stars from me doesn't mean that it doesn't make an impact. In fact, this is probably the most impacting piece you have done up to this point. I want to thank you for creating this, and I look forward to whatever else you come up with. So, once again, I thank you.

Arthur: Way to go Starlight, now you as J Robert Oppenheimer would put it "Death, the destroyer of worlds" Your blind and lust-filled vengeance has now wrought this result, this world-wide death and destruction of every single living thing including bacteria, global extinction all thanks your F***ing around in the past by stopping the Sonic Rainboom. How you can you call yourself a preacher of Equality if your refuse to give up your talent and be at the same level as others. You know, we humans tried it ourselves that we called Communism, but it failed as only a handful had the power and every one lived in darkness and sorrow just ask those who lived in North Korea and the Soviet Union. Don't you F***ing get it? Without us the Elements of Harmony and Friendship to be together, all the villi ans that we just saw and beaten in the past prior to meeting you won and did horrific things to this land and likely beyond.
Starlight: No....no....that's not true! It's impossible! This has to be an illusion!
Pyoro: Search or look at yourself Starlight, you know it be true as it is right in front of you! Get it through your head! Humanity is likely dead along with the rest of this planet thanks to you Starlight Glimmer the real-life Grim Reaper and the destroyer of Friendships and Life...in the end, this is all of your fault Starlight Glimmer and yet in the end, you still don't get it!!! You're just like a child in an adult body always crying when things don't go your way and blaming others for your mistakes.

But at least Fallout: Equestria had survivors. This alternate future was nothing less than global extinction. Nothing survived, probably not even bacteria!

See Starlight? All of this death and destruction is the result of your blind vengeance against Twilight and her friends! Is this what you wanted? Is this want you looking or hoping for? Was everything you're willing to throw away including what made you pony worth it? Was it? Your meddling in the past to stop the Sonic Rainboom results in this....this....large swath of death and destruction of all life in Equestria. All the blood of every single life in Equestria from an adult to the foals will be on your hooves forever. If you keep this up, it'll spread to the rest of this planet to the point there will be no life...all thanks to you Starlight.....let it go....let....it...go.

There are few works that can make you FEEL the emptiness of a dead world. This one, can make you almost touch it. The lack of life, the twisted mountains and trees, the empty air, and finally the faces of starlight, spike, and Twilight.
Starlight's shock and revelation, Twilight's desperate hope THIS will show Starlight the scope of her actions, and Spike's eyes, clinging to what little hope he has that this ends. Bravo sir, bravo.

That deadland moment inspired lots of Fallout:Equestria crossovers around here. About what you wrote down, my pleasure. You certainly made lots of great artwork piece over the years.

I'm thinking it's the combination of all the villains winning.
First there's Nightmare Moon's eternal night followed by Discord's chaos. Whatever love is left from all that is sucked dry by Chrysalis leading to Sombra coming down and invading. And his war is interrupted when Tirek shows up to just destroy everything.
And if any pony survived any of that, well there's a nice little village they can take shelter in where everypony is equal...

Not sure if you'd considered this, but I think this alternate present is brought about if the 6 or 7 now it seems couldn't defeat the season 6 villain. We all know they like to do little foreshadowy things and they'll need something big to out-hype time travel, so a world destroyer sounds perfect.
