Story:

They were a few days into the race, and this far it had gone smoothly. Frikk was an amazing horse to ride, so sturdy and calm. The only thing she wasn’t too fond of was his love for snow. He had to play with it, all the time. He particularly enjoyed messing around in the soft, powdery snow with his lips, like he was pretending it was grass, just without eating it. Zoey did her best to just live with it, as long as it didn’t cause any problems for her, the horse could do whatever it pleased.

She hadn’t talked too much to the other entrants yet, just Vidar and Lyo. And she had to say Lyos surprise was a lot more pleasant than Vidars. She couldn’t help but look around though, and it sure was some interesting people entering. She had her eyes on one particular interesting figure. He looked hard and tough, and his choice of clothing was special. It reminded her of an old American uniform, though American fashion and history had never been her thing. His horse was absolutely gorgeous though, and she caught herself looking at it several times.

She wondered how many of the other entrants had already entered the previous year. They sure would have a bit of an advantage, having gone through it once before. Not that she thought whether or not you had entered before would be the outcome of who won.

She gave Frikk a light kick when he had stopped to play with the snow. It now reached him to the belly, something he didn’t seem to mind at all, as now he didn’t have to lower his neck to get to the wonder. “Just keep moving and I won’t bother you” Zoey mumbled to him, giving his neck a pat.
