Oh, that's a difficult question. Both of the photos are very good in their own respects. I like the angle for both of them; though I prefer this shot because it's slightly more close-up and offers more detail. I also prefer this shot because the ground directly to the left of this cute little guy is also in great detail.

Perhaps one of the greatest qualities of this shot, however, is the crystal clear reflection of the shape of the crab's eyes in the puddle directly beneath him. I love that.

Such a good photo. These guys are adorable. Hope you didn't get pinched.

No, I didn't get pinched This wee crab is too itty bitty to do much damage (I hope). It was actually busy eating, and was turning around trying to block me out.

I like the composition on this photograph much better. The focus is also better in this one, as compared to the other. However, I think I like the other one better as far as lighting and colors go. But great job on both!!!

Thanks for the detailed input I was struggling with which photo to upload. Though I prefer the crab in this, the lighting and colours are definitely better in the other.

What a wonderful photo, I love the wee crab! I think both of the photographs are great, but this one seems to stand out a bit more than the other one because of the puppy eyes.
