(drawn back on october 2014 from Inktober!)Hey guys! Sorry for the low activity. If you haven't noticed by my twitter or instagram , I've been traveling around Europe for the past week with my SO; its been a load of fun, and holy cow I'm getting fat with all the croissants, and baguettes...they're so good! D:
I decided on Europe to visit Castle Neuschwanstein and do some research for Jesterday. I can't say that romanesque revival is close to the architecture that I'd like the kingdom of Everlune, but nevertheless, Neuschwanstein blew my mind. It's amazingly beautiful (it had 7k visitors on the day we visited!) though slightly smaller than I expected it to be. Many areas were excluded to visitors, my favorites were the kitchen and some garden-like room with a fountain and a breathtaking view.
We've spent the last week exploring Munich (Germany) and Paris (France) and tomorrow we're taking a train to Brussels (Belgium) to stuff ourselves with chocolate. Unlike Munich and Paris, we're going to stick around the countryside and take a break from the city vibe. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever get used to urban areas, and neither the cold. I thought I was handling the cool weather pretty well but today I feel sick. ): But I'll be ok, I'm taking my medicine...and croissants...

A Europe tour is one of my life goals as well. I want to visit many castles in Germany and France to make research for my own story Lintukoto.
I don't think I'd visit Neuschwanstein though. I have already seen it in manga and someone has told me that it's overcrowded with tourists. orz
I'd love to visit the castle of Schwerin. You should look it up, it's gorgeous. I guess I will use it as reference for my story, hohoho~
Have you been to Fontainebleau in France? There is a gorgeous castle as well. A little version of Versailles with less tourists and more accessibilities.

The original plan was to visit Switzerland and Austria, but I really wanted to see some streets around Paris, Belgium is right next to it so we made the trip with that trajectory. I do plan to go again to Europe, it was all so colorful in its autumn! *_____*
Yes, the castle was quite packed but you'd still enjoy a tour inside, its amazing. I'll definitely keep that in mind for my next castle research, thank you Shira!!

Yeah, autumn is my favorite season. I guess you don't have colored leaves at your place, right? ;v;
By now most of the leaves have already fallen down but the past days have been really warm and sunny. I don't want this season to end yet, hahaha~
I will think about it twice then. I am a rather small person though, so it will be hard for me to see anything, hahaha~
I had this problem when I visited Schönbrunn in Vienna. Worst castle experience ever. And way too expensive for what you get. orz

I'm a shorty too, and enjoyed the tour just as much. We simply stood last in the group so when the room was emptied we could see it as it is. Good luck with your explorations!!

Oh we didn't go with a group, but when you buy the tickets you get a time to enter the castle and grouped up, for example, our tour began at 4:30pm and so did for 48 other people. ^^

How much of the whole castle could you see and did you have to pay extra for every few other rooms/parts of the garden as well?
