Backstory
This is my OC Therese and her Steelix. Therese is always spending her time mining for evolution stones, fossils, heartscales, and anything else that she thinks will turn a profit. Her parents, Judy and Eon, are rock climbing/mining enthusiast and decided to turn their hobby into a buisness.

Therese's mom died from an illness when she was four years old so her memories of her are few and far between, but Therese cherishes what she can remember of their time together. Therese and her Dad grew very attached to each other after Judy's death. The family business has wasn't thriving like it used to and bankruptcy was just a few dollars away. Despite the hardship, Therese and her Dad strove to keep the shop alive for all their sakes, especially for Judy.

Years passed by and soon Therese turned 15. She and her father were in the underground as was routine for a weekday when an abnormal tremor struck the cavern. Her father was burried under the rubble, leaving Therese with only his prized pokemon to remember him by. However, Therese refused to use her father's pokemon. She promised herself that she would prove herself worthy of first and so she travels back to the same tunnel, determined to catch the Steelix that caused her father's death with nothing but her wits and a dusk ball. She succeeded.

Therese decides to close up the family business in order to begin her journey to becoming a pokemon cup champion.

Personality:
Therese is a very strong willed and stubborn girl. She will train for days and days until she is confident of victory. She's a quick learner and has excellent reaction time. She's a very care-free person and will help anyone who needs it.

Therese's Steelix is very full of itself. The rock pokemon puts forth very little effort towards anything it doesn't consider a challenge because of it's superior size and age. Due to a dibilating loss to a Heatmor, Steelix trained to increase it's resistance to fire. It purposely rested around molten rock to lower it's vulnerability to heat. It's rigid body will sometimes glow red when matched up against a fire type pokemon.
