Description My latest Minimate Cover... Iron Man.

Ive been tossing ideas in my mind for this cover for about 2 weeks... Looking at the 3 Iron Man Minimates standing there on my Laptop and unsure how to put them into a cover...

I found a comic at my local shop that I liked and decided to give it a shot at duplicating it... I already used Red & Yellow Iron Man with my New Avengers Comic Book Cover so I used "Silver Centurion" and "Classic Iron Man" for this cover.

All in all, its a bit simple, a little too simple for my tastes, but I wasnt sure what else to do (the original scan had about 3 other characters on the cover... none of which warrant their own Minimate... Yet). I had to create the "Capt'n" head for the box in the bottom left... usual method, Digital Painting over the picture. I also added the color behind Mr Stark to make him look like hes flying.

Oddly enough, my inspiration for this cover comes the same day the "Invincible Iron Man" DVD hits the shelves... its a great addition to the already great Animated Marvel Lineup.

Thanks a lot... Ive had a great deal of fun making them and I found a few new shortcuts in Pshop each time I make a new one. Though I cant say I can take credit for the idea entirely... I was assigned to make a CD cover in my Digital Manipulation class... someone asked the instructor if they could make a book cover instead and he agreed... so I went home and made my Fantastic Four Comic Book Cover ... a few months later I decided to make a series of them... and I havent stopped since

I go to the Art Institute of Colorado, but Im thinking of switching to University of Colorado - Denver as its about 1/6 of the cost of AIC.

This is true, however, travel is not my favorite thing If its not within 30 minutes to an hour from me I usually dont think about it.
