Description Usually renders show meshes which have been interestingly textures and lighted. Complex texturing and lighting is fundamental for the normal purposes but becomes a severe hinderance when your objective is to show (or check) the structure of the mesh itself.

The tecnique which removes all distractions and concentrates completely on the mesh ("Just the mesh, ma'am" ) is called clay rendering. In these renders the objects are textured with matte materials of uniform color, without any bump/normal setting and the lighting is diffuse and uniform.

Clay renders are a common tool in the context of modeling applications but I never saw them created using Vue. I have set out to plug this gap and the render shows the result, my first Vue product, which is a toolkit made up by 1 atmosphere and 6 materials (bluish, orangish, neutral grey, yellowish, greenish and pinkish, common color choices in the context of clay renders).

The mesh used for the purpose is Blender mascot (Suzanne) with two levels of subsurface smoothing applied and is not included in the product.

I will post updates when the product will be available for buying.
