I'm very far from realism. And I don't know really what are the real proportion of a human body.
My actual itteration of Cherry as a G8F is not realistic : too long leg...
A face another problem, the expression of the face are 100% symetrical, and it's very unatural...

I use V4.2 all the time... except that I must admit since I have buyed the mystique oufit and vald3dart pose for G8F, I have pleasure to use G8F.
Technical the skin is from the V4 era : it's the original Cherry skin for V4.2 by addy rose.
Most of the jewel are for V4. I use V4.2 outfit without problem (except for the shoes...).
Lastest shoes for G8F from Idler are excellent...
So, I affraid that I will switch to G8F. The HD expression are much better.

I'm using G8F since a single week... I have made some really good render with V4.
I try to learn blender. DS is very simple and, finally, very powerfull.... if only there is real particule generator, or "tube" for adding vegetation or leave in a scene... and of course, real volumetric cloud. In fact it's very frustrating but I'm unable to use another software.

Daz Studio is a dead end, but a pleasant one.
If you only want to render interior scene or very simple outdoor scene, it is a good solution
You can use C4D for modeling, uvmapping and texturing, as every content creator does.
It's very difficult to find the difference from IRAY and VRAY : they both share the same language : MDL.
But IRAY doesn't support thick non-homogeneous materials : so no cloud, no fog, etc...
Daz Studio doesn't have a particle system.
You can't limit a light to a limited amount of objets : all lights concern the whole scene and generate shadow !
Poser is now tight to blender for rendering, so it is may be a better alternative. But for me, Poser interface is... just impossible.

Jewelry on her neck makes it look unusually thick. But the rest is fabulous!!

Well.. The problem seems to be the neck by itself... may be the head is a little too small also...
Time for little adjustement for my G8F version of Cherry...
