Description This is a rough concept of what I think Ryu should look like in his later years, maybe SF 6?? As titled, he is now a master.

Key features:

- Able to do one handed Hadouken like Master Gouken.
- Still has red headband, but beaten and battered
- Long gray hair and half beard
- Tanned skin from always walking outside
- Still no shoes
- Torn Gi, alternate color is now main, and only one side on like Master Gouken.
- No gloves, but now has Akuma's bead necklace wrapped around his left arm!!! (Probably kills him or something in SF5.. lol)
- Thicker body mass

So yeah, this was just for fun. Again, this was just a rough concept. Let me know what you think.

"No gloves," "thicker body mass," 'has a sash like Gouken.' So, basically, your idea is that making him resemble Gouken reflects he's surpassed him? Why wouldn't he just do his own thing? Shotos all look the same, anyway. Meh, all right.

Love everything about this (especially the little detail about his trophy from his final fight with Akuma -- right on) except for the his gi color. Why is it now black? What happened to his old gi he used to own for the first half of his life? What exact reason is there for him to have a black gi now? There isn't any real reason. Poop on that idea, Mr. Butthead.

LOL thanks for the intriguing comment! Well, the gi is more dark blue like his alt color from SF2. That's really the only reason, it could be white as his main but the color just serves my need at that time. But it anything, I'll go ahead and "poop" on that idea :-p

Holy crap, the look is different but the ideas for future Ryu are almost the same. I will upload mine soon.

Awesome art man, just perfect. I imagined Ryu growing a beard in SF5 ([link] drawing by Akiman), then in SF6 a little bit older his hair is black, bushy, and he's got the beard and MUCH buffer than he is now. In SF 7 or 8 I imagined him like this: [link] [link]

I drew that right after SF4 ver 1 was announced, so I didnt even know Gouken would be in the game. A lot of people say its like Gouken.

Again awesome work, and I can tell you have the right idea of who Ryu is.

haha yea. nice and gradual is good because people can take it more seriously. no one wants to jump the shark. how long did this take to do? im new to photoshop and coloring that way
