Maxla was Force-sensitive male Jilaecean Jedi knight serving the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the Clone wars. Like a others, he was train in Jedi Temple in Coruscant, until he became Jedi knight.

After the first battle of Geonosis and beginning of the Clone wars, Maxla became General of Grand Army of Republic and commander of the 6th Brigade, whit clone Captain Terry in his second-in-command.

Under Maxla's command, the Brigade took part of many battle's during the Clone Wars, until 20 BBY, The Brigade traveled with an important convoy to the Jovic system. The Separatist spy know as "Merovich", revealed the route to the Separatists, who organized a trap to convoy in Jaal system, under lead of Count Dooku. Almost all of the convoy's ships were destroyed and Maxla, Terry and they forces destroyed at the same time.
