Description So, I did say (about six months ago admittedly) I was going to do some monsters/ villains for the SRC and I finally did. Seen as a fair bit of the focus on a few members backstories is centered around theological monsters or theology in general, I thought that doing some demons would be a good place to start (plus I've been playing Doom so, y'know).
Anyway, catalogging some of the more interesting and common demons that the SRC have to deal with. The black figure is just there for height reference (avarage human male height being 5'10).
LtR:

Species: Tantrus
Classification: Lust Demon
Notes: Large and heavy set, Tantrus are of the lower order of Lust Demons, a classification that also includes the more well know Incubus and Succubus species. Unlike an Incubus or Succubus, Tantrus lack intelligence and are noticably inhuman in appearance, looking more like a huge bipedal pig wearing a rock vest. However, what they lack in brainpower they more than make up for in brawn. Like all Lust Demons, their primary motivation is sex, but they go about it in a different manner than most conventional Lust Demons. They are surprisingly fast for their size and will chase down their "prey" before using their weight to pin their victim whilst they have their way. Unlike other Lust Demons, they are not particularly fussy about which gender they prey on. They are usually summoned by accident, when a ritual intended to summon an Incubus or Succubus goes wrong. They can be dangerous due to their size and strength, but are usually easy to contain.

Species: Hydra
Classification: Greed Demon
Notes: Known in many circles as "The Worms Of Hell", Hydra grow to fill any space immaginable and consume everything around them until nothing is left but a barren wasteland, at which point they will move on. However, they are not classified as Gluttony Demons, but Greed Demons as they display the most crucial behaviour in classifying Greed Demons, hoarding. It has been observed that Hydra will infact vomit out much of what they injest into a hoard on its back, which it will carry around with it until the weight becomes so much that the Hydra is crushed to death. Hydra are fiercely protective of this hoard, with one head watching it at all times. Due to their size, Hydra are one of the most successful Greed Demons, they can hoard far more than any other demon and protect their hoard simply by being bigger than the competition. It is uncommon for a Hydra to manifest in our plain of existance, but not unheard of and they prove to be troublesome unless dealt with quickly or confined in a small enough space to afford the luxury of capture.

Species: Maw
Classification: Gluttony Demon
Notes: One of the more disgusting demons, Maws are almost entirely digestive tract. Like all Gluttony Demons, their lives are motivated entirely by consuming food and like all Gluttony Demons, they reek of decay. However, what makes Maws so much more foul than any other Gluttony Demon is their most defining feature. Due to the size of their gut, the accumulation of digestive gases has allowed these sizeable creature to float and they can even fly by ejecting these gases to give them forward (or indeed backward) thrust. These gases are both highly toxic and increadibly flamable and it is not uncommon to see (or hear, or even smell) a Maw explode when coming in contact with flame. Like all Gluttony Demons, Maws are rarely purposefully summoned, more often than not wandering through unchecked summoning gates, something which they are unfortunately very good at doing, due to their unending search for things to eat. In fact, Maws became such a problem that the SRC had to develop a specialized Maw containment device to secure these floating menaces and sheild the SRC operatives whilst the demons were incinerated.

Species: Grimor
Classification: Sloth Demon
Notes: Grimor are, by all accounts, one of the most dangerous demons in hell. Fast enough to appear as though they have teleported and extremely strong, they are a terrifying prospect. Fortunately, they are Sloth Demons and, as such, very rarely exhibit these traits. Such is their indolence that they are very rarely seen moving and have even apparently forgone the use of feet, instead just levitating. Exactly how they levitate is unknown, they have no internal gases like a Maw and it is not an ability exhibited in any other Sloth Demon. Study of these creatures is limited, they are rarely summoned and never come through summoning gates on their own. What little that is known  of them comes from an encounter early on in the days of the SRC, when an encounter response team ended up being dragged through a gate into hell and came face to face with a Grimor in an awoken state. The incident was recorded by the team's body cameras and was transmitted back to the SRC central hub. None of the team made it back from hell.

Species: Obelisk
Classification: Wrath Demon
Notes: An immense, heavily armored demon, Obelisks pose the greatest threat to SRC personel than almost any other demon encountered so far. Their strength is unparralled and they are perminantly enraged, meaning that any encounter becomes a life or death situation. Their heavy armor makes them slow and cumbersome, but if they are allowed to build up any momentum, nothing can stand in their way. General advise on how to fight an Obelisk suggests that aiming for the mouth is the best bet, as the rest of the head and the torso is covered in near impenitrable armor. Wrath Demons are often summoned in misguided revenge attempts, though the SRC shows no record of any summoner surviving a summoning.

Species: Hollow
Classification: Envy Demon
Notes: One of the few semi-sentient demons that the SRC has numerous notable encounters with, Hollows are made up of pure emerald flame and have no other physical form. They are often summoned due to the percieved power of Summoned Demons to grant upon their summoner their deepest desires. Hollows appear to understand this and use the opportunity to feed on the desires of those who summon them, usually actively seeking out summons for this very purpose. Once summoned, they will burn their summoner in their flame, absorbing their envious wishes into themselves. Hollows rarely cause much trouble for the SRC, despite being one of the more frequently encountered summons. However, one encounter saw a team come up against a Hollow bound to a suit of demonic armor. This Hollow managed to level the building in which it was summoned before being defeated and contained by a team of Special Operatives. Research into hell artifacts suggests that Armor-Bound Hollows may be used as the guardians of the Palace of the Demon Lord Leviathan in hell.

Species: Witness
Classification: Pride Demon
Notes: Witness are quite problematic for SRC operatives. Like most Pride Demons, they have limited trans-dimensional abilities and can cross between worlds once a portal has been opened in a location, meaning that they are often the causes of repeat call-outs and regressions. Feeding on vanity, Witness seek out those they can feast on once materializing. They stalk their prey invisible to the naked eye and will strike when their target is alone, usually attackig through reflective surfaces. SRC operatives alway carry detection devices for such invisible demons and are always advised to cover or destroy mirrors and windows if in the presence of a Witness. Witness are the most sentient of the common demons, some specimens could even be called intelligent, and there have been noted incidents of a summoner being able to make a deal with a high order Witness, though both were contained by the SRC shortly after.
