Super job on the artwork. The lightning and shading is perfectly placed, as if light is really hitting her from behind. The use of the glowing effect on items like her jewels and around her legs really catches the eye. The amount of detail put into this is amazing and always keeps my attention. However, the light ring seems somewhat unnatural since it appears to connect to water, unless she happens to be rising through a portal that happens to be in a body of water (although t is more than likely that the ring of light is actually coming from her scepter). The background seems a bit bland, but as you stated in your description this was basically an experimental artwork. Keep up the awesome work! Those details are pretty cool!

Thank you very much! As for the "light ring" as you put it--and that's a good description of it--is in fact not part of the water. I thought it was going to be confused as such after I started working on the back ground, but it is in fact more of a portal or something to that effect, so that means I need to change something...guess I have some more work to do!
