This is so beautiful. Just when I decide I'm too lazy to learn Vue, I 'found' your work and will have to reconsider. The lighting is just so great!

I may take you up on that. Every time I start with Vue I hit a wall and go back to Daz Studio, where I kind of know my way around. Also I don't like the "obscenely long render time" for Vue's gorgeous lighting, but I could learn to live with that if the results are good.

Oooo, he looks wonderful Ryan! Love the suit and the cool red lights on the side of his helmet. I especially love that tiny antenna, yea! Hands are free for driving. haha You did a great job with your DOF in this one, it really makes him pop. I remember this nameless guy. It's nice to have a name to put to his face. Looks like you guys are having some fun with cables here lately. haha At least they are not going thru him, yikes! I really like the nice warm atmosphere you have created as well as the planets in the background. And that Retro Rocket that BjΓΆrn created is so cool looking! Fabulous render sweetie! I wonder why your first one was taking such a long time? The atmosphere perhaps? I'm glad you stuck with it, it turned out beautifully! Fantastic work!

Your most welcome sweetie! hehe, I know, OMG the pain, the pain. haha Poor Baron! I'm sure you guys have your reasons for putting him through the ringer. haha I can't keep up with all your different characters and all the plot twists and turns so I just enjoy them as they come. Yea! Ah ha, I suspected they may have been the rendering culprit. I bet you were so glad the second round went a lot smoother. Yea! Too funny! Can't wait to see what torture you guys come up with. haha Should be interesting for sure. PS is sooooo much fun! I could easily live in the program, no problem. That's were all the magic lives! weeeee! Still learning how to paint hair and clothing and a few other things as well so way less time in the "Torture Render" chair. Yea!

Love the extra details you added to the outfit. The extra lights are just right, not too much or overdone. The DOF is spot on as well, you really get drawn into the main character while being enhanced by the surrounding background.
Awesome!

This came out gorgeous Ryan! And yeah I have to agree, the depth of field is just perfect, not to little not too much. I suppose that would make it a "Goldilocks Render" haha. I really love the atmosphere you chose for this one too, and the character, poised and confident. Awesome render Ryan, another masterpiece! OY.... I'm starting to sound like someone from AZ! ROFL

Tell me about it, and I know where you keep it! LOL but anyway yes this was a gorgous render. I'm glad that it was faster too, see, it was Goldilocks! Just look at all that cheddar!

The light effects from the little LEDs on his helmet (okay, not really a helmet... more like... head armor? Oh, whatever! Lol!) are just perfect! He really did render nicely, so whatever you did -- keep doing it! Looks fantastic and well worth whatever time you put into it!

Well, the light effects are seamless, so even if they were done in PS, they look fantastic.
I had no idea you could do so much "deconstruction" in Vue. I'm learning so much about Vue -- I need to spend a few more lifetimes watching experienced users, and then MAYBE I'll be comfortable with what I can create there!

While I do my renders in DAZ Studio, I can understand the frustration of a render not coming out the way I want it; I've had two different renders do that and had to redo them. I also don't throw away my old attempts, so I have them hanging around as well.
On to the Image: it's well laid out and gives a feeling of a vast space behind the main human figure, which is probably what you were attempting to convey.

Agreed; it took me about a month to get a single body morph the way I wanted it and I still need to get the character's face morph the way I see it in my head. I'm still using her in my renders, even if she's not exactly the way I want her, because it helps me see how her body looks in different lighting conditions.
I'm glad to comment, and that I was able to see the image the way you intended it to be.

It is excellent - the lighting is perfect - my favorite colors again. The skyline and dof is great. The character's expression, pose and suit works so well. Big thumbs up!

Ohhhh! He has a little antenna on his head!!!! I love it!!! Look at all the little lights and things you put on him. It is just awesome. You have created a spectacular vista behind him with the clouds and the moons. The thing I love the most with Extrasolar is how the history constantly unfolds and how we discover new things. I am going to go Tony the Tiger on this one and scream βGrrrrreat!!β
