Description
This is Jun from Phantasmagoria, a band I have recently discovered and LOVE. Jun is the cute guitarist - Iori has something odd with his face that I don't like and paints his lips funny. Jun is the one who plays the groovy guitar rifs.Anyway, this is an entry for the Macabre Contest [link] by .

The costume is mostly my own since in the reference photo it was all too black to see properly. I'm particularly happy with the blood, I think it looks runny and bloodlike. Also I think the face is rather pretty. Enjoy, everyone, and check out Phantasmagoria if you can cuz the band rocks.

Ahm... about two hours for drawing and three hours for colouring... add another hour for other elements I may not have included in my calculations such as fiddling with details and changing colours etc... so about 6 hours.

Well, I read what you wrote above. There are many people who love Jun, Iori, Matoi and Riku. You really don't have to worry about them.
You ask what is special about Kisaki? He's in music since 1993 and founded 2 well-known labels. He was the producer of Vidoll and made them big in Japan. He kept his style and still is visual. He's just well-known for what he did and gathered fans since a very long time. Especially compared to the other members. They became popular with Phantasmagoria. Sure they had some fans before Magor but compared to now... I think you get what I want to say?
I am one of these Kisaki-fan people, too. Maybe he's not as pretty as Jun but in my eyes he's very charismatic AND I really adore him for all he achieved.
1. They announced a live in May. Even fans don't know more at the moment. Anyway, I guess Matoi and Iori won't be back..
2. Jun's solo songs are out know.
3. You see, I like Jui's voice very much. It's different from one to another. He had been in Kisaki project even before Phantasmagoria started. I saw them live in 2004. Jui is the vocal of Vidoll and works together with Kisaki since a VERY long time now. So it's not surprising to see them working together. Kisaki Project was founded during that time when Kisaki didn't have a band.
4. I don't know why he's not singing himself. Maybe he can't sing. I really don't know.

Mh, I didn't realise that Kisaki did anything before Phantasmagoria. And knew about the Vidoll connection but only because they're old friends via Kisaki - I didn't think he was their MANAGER. I've never heard of Kisaki before, or the others - on my raw impression of Phantasmagoria, Kisaki isn't the most amazing one. Heehee, I guess if you're taking the past into account it's different but, as I said, I just thought it was a band.
Mh... I don't know personality wise because I've never seen him talk or do anything particularly dynamic. His bass playing is very sedate in a "I'm pretty, admire me," way. Jun actually rocks out a bit and has more stage presence than Kisaki, I feel. But, as I say, this is also my raw impression and partially influenced by the fact that I HAVE seen Jun in a more normal, talkative, making jokes setting.
Riku is pretty and has a good voice but his "dancing" is hilariously silly. Some of it definitelly vidoll inspired - I recall seeing a Vidoll video where the singer was "dancing" in the same way. Sticking your arms out at simplistic angles to a beat is not dancing in my book.

Yes, I know! I have his album thingy! It's amazging! I love him! And some people have been slagging him off for being too hide-like but the skill is great and so is the sound and you can't blame a guy for being inspired by such a legend, right?
That's... that's JUI? REally? Oh my god! I didn't recognise him!!!! His voice sounds so different! I mean... eh... in Vidoll it had some strength and depth to it - where are all those lovely low tones that worked so well in Vidoll? Why must he strain for notes he's not made for? I'm really shocked if it really is him... I can't believe it... The voice sounds so different... *Is confused and boggled*
Well, you don't have to sing to be a good musician. But I saw a little clip, I think where Kisaki and his vocalist was doing karaoke... it wasn't too bad. Maybe he doesn't have enough confidence. Or maybe, like Mana, he doesn't want people to hear his manly voice and be disillusioned.
Anyway, I'm not offended; I'm not that kind of person. I asked those questions with real curiosity, looking for real answers because there were some things I just didn't understand from the point of view I was at. Thanks for enlightening me.

Say, are you one of those Kisaki-fan people? If you are, can you please explain something to me? Ever since Phantasmagoria started I've really loved Jun - he's soooo pretty and his guitaring is really impressive to... yet it seems to me that everybody is raving about Kisaki... Why is that? Fair enough, Iori isn't that attractive (though his recent look suits him more than that strange black-haired thing did) and Matoi's face just looks strange. Why don't people rave over Riku - he IS the vocalist, after all, and he's pretty cute with a good voice... also, as I've said, Jun is gorgeous and talented and he had such an amazing hat in Mikansei to Guilt.
But... Kisaki???
Ok, he's more attractive than Matoi... he was more attractive than Iori but then Iori's new look IS quite nice. So at best he's only ever been the middlish attractiveness person in the band. Ok... he IS the band leader but he's only a basist and his Jrock makeup look is very generic - his face isn't that distinctive and his lips are often painted a funny shape. There was also this one picture I saw where he had yellow contact lenses and his face was so washed-out looking and his eyes so vibrant that he looked kind of like a bug. He's had some really pretty pictures too but, still, as I say, he's not as consistently pretty as Jun and Riku and his musical skills aren't overtly amazing... so what is that fascination specifically with KISAKI and nobody else in the band?
I'm not saying this in a nasty way; it's just that I've always wondered what the hype is over him as he's always been quite average in my opinion.
Also,
1. Are Phantasmagoria ever getting back together?
2. I want to hear Jun's solo song! When is it coming out?
3. Who the hell is that other singer guy (Jui) that Kisaki got in for his Kisaki project? His voice is trying to be WAAAAY higher than it ought to be naturally and it just sounds weak rather than good. His voice shakes so much... it's embarassing to listen to - it's like he can't hold a single note - it makes me cringe.
4. The music of Kisaki Project is nice but the tunes aren't very memorable or assertive. If Kisaki went off to do his own project, why doesn't he sing himself rather than giving that job to that other guy (I don't like Jui at all)
P.S. WOW! Jun's hair is bright pink and amazing these days!
Also I have renewed respect for Jun and Iori since they went busking!

Kisaki is ok but when his makeup goes wrong he looks like some sort of strange staring bug because the makeup covers EVERY flaw in his face and makes him look very blank. That kind of look creeps me out. I like Jun because he has gorgeous soft eyes and he's both pretty and recognisable. And he's a guitarist... And he has a huge hat.

I like his hat too. ^_^ I admit that Jun is very pretty- probably the prettiest in the band, but I have a person effection for Kisaki-sama. I don't know, it might be the fact that he was in La:Sadie's or just that he's supposed to be so sweet. ^_^
