Description

Ruby Dusk was walking back home from Ponyville's Nightmare Night parade. Nightmare Night was the one night of the year where she could be around other ponies because they wouldn't know she was part bat pony, ponies would just assume that it was a costume. She lived deep in the Everfree Forest away from everpony, it was a long walk but she was willing to make the trip. Ruby didn't feel like flying although it would have been much faster. As she entered the Everfree Forest upon the crooked stone path she felt as though she was being watched. She looked around her and dismissed it as nothing and continued walking. Just a few seconds later she herd a small sound behind her. She turned her head to see a small filly with moss like fur, and plant like features, their tail seemed to be a sentient plant covered with what looked to be ivy. Ruby had jumped slightly at the sight of her, startled for she had never seen such a creature before. "um...hello" Ruby spoke, " are you lost?" no response came from the filly, they kept the same blank expression. Ruby decided to take a few steps closer to them, upon getting closer she noticed the filly's eyes were fogged and slightly blurry. She began to believe that this filly was blind with the condition her eyes were in. "do you need any help little one?" Ruby spoke softly and sweetly as a mother would to their child if they were hurt. Their plant tail turned to look towards Ruby, as if it was looking at her, though it didn't have any eyes. She was starting to feel incredibly uncomfortable, even more than she felt before. she decided to keep walking home, she turned around and continued into the dark forest. Every once and a while she'd turn around to look behind her, and sure enough the plant pony was following her. At long last when she finally gone home she checked behind her one last time, nopony was there. She sighed slightly with relief and went inside. Ruby yawned and went to bed, tired from the long night.
