Two weeks ago I was with my friends and colleauges from our department on birdwatching trip in Hortobagyi National Park in Hungarian steppe called puszta. Every year thousands of common cranes (Grus grus) stop here during their migration to northern Africa. Imagine this kitschy situation: Sunset (or sunrise) and wonderful red/orange/yellow/purple sky with hundreds of crane silhouettes. Simply awesome. Further we also saw lot of other bird species like Great bustards, visited some Hungarian towns and villages, termalpark, ate local fish soup, learned a little Hugarian words, drank lot of vine and danced on anime soundtrack... Amazing experience and inspiration.
