Beautiful work, all around fantastic. From the grim empty wasteland to the floating cubes, there is a haunting sense of familiarity.

I suspected Salvador Dali as one of your muses. The burning animals and the cubes cemented that suspicion. Excellent work. Your creations are very moving and arcane. Good to see someone borrowing from the greats.

I do enjoy his work but any connection with my painting is purely coincidental. The cubes were actually inspired by some 16th century engravings that depicted spheres. I liked the simple but ominous shape idea so I thought it would be fun to do something that resembles pyrite cubes (I like rocks too). Originally the dogs in my idea were not on fire but I thought it would be a nice touch to give the scene a bit of a hellish feel. I'm glad you like the painting. It's one of my personal favorites. I'm happy with the way it turned out for the most part.Β
