have many Name-Faced friends–
written of dreams come true?
spoken of dreams and you?
know them
and their words?
the Nameless Man knew too
He may have tried
to forge a face
like any Face-Name could
and so that He must say
"I'm Gone" with Faceless silence
is the pious poison
to their bald-faced lie
