I just don't understand how these people complain about the concept... This is an awesome concept!! Everything form the tentacles to the crab-like legs and even the overall curved linearity of the creature's silhouette suggest aquatic creature... I don't know about cloverfield though, Neville Page's creature had a completely different silhouette and also felt a bit more martian because of it's crazy proportions and body mechanics. This creature's very natural in its mechanics, just not the combinations or sizes. I am personally a fan of both, awesome job Jerad!! Love your work and your team @ ASC!

well, with that design and color scheme it looked more a desert\earth monster than a sea one...however, it needed more details from the original one.

I like how the one on the far right looks very close to what the original Kraken looked like in the original classic while the one on hte left loooks more like somehting out of Cloverfield. The end resiult, as my sister clalls it, is a mixture of the orignal, the Rancor from star wayrs, and the Orga from a godzilla movie. I personally agree with that and add that it reminds me of the Kraken from Pirates of the Carribean mixed with the original, the cloverfield mosnter's face, the rancor, and the orga.
But in the end it was a magnificent creature to look at.
good job.
