A wandering knight without legion or banner
Captain "Nathaniel Garro" was a legendary hero and martyr who faced the worst betrayal in the Horus Heresy, his unquestioning loyalty to the empire made Captain Garro a founding member of the Gray Knights and the vigilant Inquisition. 🛡
The origin of Captain Garro dates back to the Unification Wars of ancient Terra (M-28) where a state of techno-barbarians called "old Albia" maintained a fierce resistance against the Emperor's thunder warriors, the situation was so critical that the same sacred "Emperor" appeared to negotiate a mutually beneficial agreement that allowed the integration of the Albians who accepted the vision of the future where their children would find redemption for their ancestors.
Under the oath of their Parents, the Albian children would be transformed into genetically modified humans by the occult arts of the Emperor, giving birth to the XIV Legion of Astartes, receiving a name according to their warrior tradition of the "Dusk Raiders" where the legionnaires assaulted his enemies with the last rays of light and absolute gloom. Feared and honorable, the Raiders respected the symbols of surrender and truce at the end of the unification. (From this point a young Garro was promoted to Battle Captain by the Emperor himself.) 🗡
Some time later, Captain Garro and his "Twilight Raiders" welcomed their missing Primarch "Mortarion" 💀 who announced changes in the new recruits from his adoptive planet "barbarus" (a toxic world) gradually replaced the identity of the " Dusk Raiders" by "Death Guard" favored by their Primarch. (From within him "Mortarion" bears a putrid grudge against his Father the Emperor and modifying the legion was a deliberate act for his future rebellion.) 😠
Unaware of the secret lodges that conspired with the death of the Emperor, Captain Garro continued to serve his Primarch "Mortarion" loyally until the previous events of "The Atrocity of Isstvan III" where his two best friends Saul Tarvitz and Garviel Loken were betrayed by their legions and Primarchs respectively; Observing with horror from his frigate the "Eisenstein" as the bombardment fire consumed the corpses of the Astartes loyal to the Emperor.
Repudiating treason and slaughter without honor, Captain "Nathaniel Garro" acted accordingly as the old Albian who swore allegiance to Terra and the Emperor taking control of his ship "Eisenstein" with the last 68 "Dusk Raiders" who remained at his side they broke the blockade and escaped in the middle of the crossfire that the Primarch “Mortarion” had ordered to execute them.
Without shields in the warp Captain Garro and his 68 "Dusk Raiders" against all odds of survival faced Commander Grulgor alongside his infiltrator troops who had foreseen Garro's defection; Keeping their faith in warning the Emperor of Horus' treachery and his Primarch the Raiders slaughtered the deathguards of "Grulgor" but the battle was far from over.
In the midst of his frantic escape the god of Chaos "Nurgle" acted to stop Captain Garro in his attempt to warn the Emperor, corrupting the bodies of the dead Commander Grulgor and his troops were resurrected as zombies from the plague they attempted a second time. take the life of the crew of the "Eisenstein". (There were casualties but the captain and his raiders resisted.)
Being overwhelmed by the plague zombies and the demons that kept appearing on the ship, Captain Garro decided to abruptly interrupt the warp travel and return to real space where the demons disintegrated but were left adrift due to the damage to the ship, his last Their option was to overload the frigate's engines and escape in emergency pods, hoping that the explosion of the "Eisenstein" would draw the attention of an imperial ally. 💥
Luckily the phalanx of the Imperial Fists came to the rescue of Captain Garro and his crew, the survivors were received by the same Praetorian of Terra the Primarch "Rogal Dorn". 😃

As a final annex, Captain Garro faced an unexpected duel with "Solun Decius" a young apprentice squire who was infected by zombies and turned into a demon called "Solun the Lord of the Flies" with the greatest sadness Garro murdered him in the moon surface. 😢
Finally the phrase of a gentleman:
"Her dreams and hopes of him are in ruins, his trust turned out to be false, and his brightest child fell into darkness. It is this bitter news, a nightmare come true, but it must reach the Emperor."
—Captain Nathaniel Garro
