Description Okay so I doubt any of you heard about the FREEZING SEATTLE SNOWSTORM OF PERIL but it happened and it ruined my life and I learned a very important lesson because of it.

I needed to stay after school in order to prepare for a presentation the next day. It hadn't started snowing for reals yet when my classes were over, so I drove my car home at took the bus back to the school to meet with the group I was working with (no car, no car accidents, you see.) We worked for a few hours until the librarian told us that the school was shutting down because of the snowstorm that had rolled in. So we all left and I found a bus stop and waited for my ride home.

and waited.

and waited.

Busses were still running. Loads of them. Just not the bus I needed. All the schedules in the world (and on the internet) told me that my bus was coming, I just had to wait a few minutes longer...

A good 30min went by, and it dawned on me that this was not going to work out. I wasn't really wearing enduring snow gear, so my feet got so cold that they ached, then when numb, then ached again, then began to tingle in a way I was never familiar with before.

I just knew I was going to get pneumonia/frostbite and die. So I did what every teenager does when they're all by themselves and in a bad situation.

Cry and call daddy to make it better.

A few panic-striken conversations later, he had found a nearby hotel for me to stay in and had set up a reservation.

One Starbucks visit later (I AM in Seattle, after all- its the only way we know how to cope with cold) I finally make it to the hotel and remember what its like to have feeling in my face again. Then school was canceled for the next two days and I didn't need to be ready to present that group project until after Thanksgiving break.

Truelife.

tl;dr: COMIC!

It was pretty much the lamest thing ever, yeah. X(
We had another superbad storm just a couple weeks ago, but this time everyone was prepared for it and school was cancelled even before snow was on the ground. I was impressed.

Thats harsh. One time our car broke down and my dad made us walk for 5 miles in the snow, Only to find out that one mile behind us was a town we had just gone through. I know the pain...

That happened to me too and I live in Renton. But my grandpa picks me up from school. And he got pissed off a lot by a stupid driving that kept sliding on the road near my school and he kept telling me how to drive in the snow even though I'm not old enough yet XD

Oh silly Seattle. I'm in Chicago and we just got like four inches of snow overnight.

It was all plowed and cleaned up by morning. c:

I still hate snow.
