Hi Recuerom, sorry I'm not a lot on Deviant art these days so my response is long overdue.

I like the angles and all, and I see why you would think it a good fit with the way the image looks. However, the internal way that cDock or Apples dock draws the image is very limiting in respect to 3D representation. It isn't going to work with the angles of that image, the angles would need to be more steep, as is. There is an outer limitation on the size of the image cDock can handle, as far as I know because of Apples way of drawing the dock, which means that you only have so much space from left to right to make the "perfect" angles. I could get a few more pixels at the bottom of the image by resizing the image closer to the border (left and right) of the canvas, but then again that would leave no room for a decent shadow. So, I don't see a way to get more creative size wise unless w0lf can extend the space for the background. Also, as long as the separator is hardcoded into cDock, and we can't set a custom image, I feel that the angle of the image (right side) should line up with the separator. And the same goes for the top/bottom distance, the separator hight should be approximately centred between the top and bottom of the image. So, with the limitations and all, there are a lot to be considered to make a harmonious dock where background, separator, icon placement and so on are depending on each other to get the best result. I don't feel I can improve much more on this existing dock I made without w0lf giving us a whole new set of features to build on.
