Tell me about it! Everybody always draws character portraits, when there is so much more cool material to draw from. Places, Buildings, action scenes, & many memorable moments. I did "The eye of the enemy" to try doing a portrait cause that's what most of the LOTR fanart that I've seen was. Thanks for the comment!

Hey thanks,
The first several drawings I did like this were done in charcoal pencil but last several were done in black & white color pencil. Seems to be a little easier cause the b&w charcoal don't blend together and less smearing.
