Description I basically keep moving around the drawing here. I start with the eyes and move elsewhere when I get bored. I try to darken and focus on the detail of each area. I do the pupils and black part of the mouth in 3B. That will be as dark as I go, and I can build the rest of the drawing around those darks. It can be hard to learn to go dark. You have to be able to do it though, or your drawing will never look photographic. One trick I use is to reduce the lighting in the room, and then compare the drawing to the photo. If the tones are too light, this should help you see it.
