A little piece of fanart of 's character Balae. One of his king serving demons. They are exclusively summonable by kings and designed to teach them lessons about the sin they commit, sorta. But that isn't all in their job description. As for here, Balae's not his usual big bellied self as this is before he'd be filling his stomach.

"When I woke up I found myself in a blizzard somewhere cold and dark. My king had taken an oil lamp to a patch of grass he'd dug out beneath the snow. He used the oil to carefully make the circle and then lit it with a broken piece of flint against his raw nails and a wet rock. I found him in a bundle on the ground, naked and blistering under the wet sheet. He was hardly breathing and his body was cold. His crown in the snow below. I held him close, tried to warm him up. He opened his eyes but didn't talk. I tried to speak to him, but nothing. Except when i asked where his kingdom was, he shed a tear that froze in the wind and closed his eyes. I didn't ask him anything else. I picked up the crown and carried my king through the blizzard."
