A soon to be complete reference of Losiel in waist up scale (censored of course). I'm making this to show his body and to show his tattoos when I put them on the reference, along with his wings when I finish those too.Related content

I love the hair, the brands and the length in the back...kinda have a weak spot for longer hair ^_^ the eyes look good too. the cresent moon earrings are a nice touch

the line work for it came out very nicely. i'm glad to see none, at least none i can see; of your skills have waned in your time away.

Yeah, I was worried my skills would drop a bit too since I've been unable to draw. But somehow they haven't really. In fact my new, stupid, tablet taught me a new technique with lining.

It's a vector technique. I'll try to explain it as best I can. Just that when I make a curve to define muscle, but not make it a complete line because that would make the muscles not look real or even close to real. However when I make pointed ends to lines so that it would look like curved muscles I never got the lines to look like they actually naturally pointed at each other. But If I just curve the lines all the way, not making two separate ones, then lowering the weight of parts where I want the muscle line to open; it results in a much more natural look to the line and without as much time.
Wow, that was a mouthful, it'd also probably be better to see it than say it heh.

i definitely would have to agree with ya there. it's a place i've struggled at in art off and on a long while. i can somewhat do that with light muscle detail, but never got good with it on big muscles. looking closer at your line work, i definitely see what you mean.
if you would like, i can give you some of the other hints that helped me there. though, i don't want to start lecturing unbidden. >///////>

well i have started trying to do digital like work, though not vectors. i meant with the ends of lines and defining realistic muscle. sorry for the poor wording.

I can't draw the same with my new stupid tablet so I've been forced to use my broken one despite it being nearly impossible heh. I am going to buy a new one soon though, this one to be exact [link] , because I heard it works very well in SAI.
