I saw this old concept art of Zootopia and I love the sentiment of it, so i redraw it! it was a good painting exercise too. I'll maybe do a couple more i saw around..Related content

Dear lord, although darker i think this original concept would`ve made for a intensely better, more nuanced and interersting story then we got with...well, what we got.
This piece here perfectly shows what i really wanted to see, great work.

Thank you! And i agree, I'm a big fan of the old version, i just feel that it would've been an extremely emotional and strong movie, I even think it would have been rated PG-13.. too much for a disney movie. but well... The Zootopia we got is not bad either!

Y`know, i wouldn`t even mind it so much if we just got to see the original script in book form, just so long as that first vision got completely fleshed out in some way.

I really would like to see the original movie as it seems to be so much more deep and more emotional, but that's just me, i'm a sucker for emotions.

You're not the only one! I love this version so much too for the same reason, i just love strong sentiments (specially sad and dark ones xd) and i feel this Zootopia would've had a LOT of it. I understand the reasons why they discarded it. But i would just love to see this version.

The emotions are flying off the page here. You can feel the sorrow from both Judy and Nick here, and feel their heartbreak as easily as you can see it. Great work!!!
