I haven't been able to draw anything seriously these months because of academic reasons, ARGH! So my mood took a high when I was able to just sit down for a good day and draw. PS 7.0 (NO CS STILL!!!)[EDIT]: A few people have mentioned this, so I'm going to mention it formally.
My main muse for this was that one absolutely perfect shot of AC Cloud (on his motorcycle perhaps?) in the AC trailer. I was reluctant to say it before because I secretly wanted someone to comment, "Hey that looks somewhat like Gaara (Naruto)". *bangs head* But I'm terrible close to just drawing a flatout Gaara fanart.

Anywho, I read the artist's comment about how Cloud's shot in the AC trailer inspired you. I love that shot... Um, but that's not the point! *is trying to focus* It kinda has the calming feel of the picture, but he reminds me more of how I pictured the shade Durza from Eragon (if you've read it O.o) to look.

Oh, I like. *nodnods* When I saw the thumbnail in your gallery I thought it looked a might Gaara-ish. Seeing it full viewed, it reminds me of a D&D druid.

I love this picture. just...WOW. *goggles* I saw it (only just now) and thought "hmm, Gaara? nah...but it's pretty anyways!" and after reading your edit, I will say, whoops. *sheepish giggle* I love the angle and the markings and the look on his face and HIS FACE (in general...because Gaara is awesome and you've drawn him so nicely) and the light...and...and... *brain overloads with too many words* @.@
before I keel over, I'm going to stop commenting. but I love it. seriously. Gaara is one of my favorite characters and to find one that looks so FREAKING awesome...this made my night.

hauntingly beautiful. Wow. Okay, wow. I love everything about this picture - the angle, the shadows, the design of the markings on the face.... incredible (it doesn't hurt that gaara and final fantasy rock my world - the hint of both in this picture makes this just that much more cool. Which, considering how cool this is, is like... beyond cool. I need a new word for this type of picture that means uber-awesome.)

Lol, believe it or not, a thought about Gaara did pop into my head when I saw this pic. Having known about your (scary-good) talent at drawing Naruto/anime characters from your gallery, it made me pause when i saw this pic. Very good, yes, but also vaguely reminiscent of another red-haired Naruto character for which you seem to have a bit of a fancy.
You know what, I think it's that people probably did associate this pic w/Gaara, but dismissed it as a fleeting thought because it's not as straightforwardly obvious as some of your other real-life pieces.
Good job anyway though.
