Hurt
Rosinante was born in a litter for 5 cubs to a Jaguar named Mary. She did not know her father as they were born in the backroads of a distant city. Her mother did have an owner but he was a raging alcoholic and very abusive towards all of them. As the family was poor and couldn’t afford much food, Rosinante and her siblings were often left alone to fend for themselves while her mother hunted for food, which a successful hunt was very rare. The family was eventually chased out of town and was left to wander the wilds and surrounding villages. To separate themselves from the past her mother gave Rosinante a new name; Corazone.
Alone
Life in the wilds was rough for her mother and eventually she succumbed to starvation, her siblings fell to starvation as well, eventually, she was as well on death's door, until a group of children came along and found the family, they collected Corazone and brought her back to their home where she was fed and brought back to good health with the help of their family. Corazone for the first time in her life experienced the compassionate side of humans, and she has never felt anything like that. But for poor Corazone, it did not last as a band of raiders attacked the small village and burned down the homes and fields of the people. Corazone was captured by the leader of the group and renamed to “Plaga” [Pest].
Hell
Cora was brought to the Raiders hideout where she was kept in a small cage with three other cats and the remains of many others before them. There Corazone was tortured and abused by her new ‘owners’. A burning torch was shoved into her mouth after she bit a human, burning her tongue and knocking out several of her teeth. After that she never dared to make a noise again or open her mouth again lest she would be hurt and killed like those whose bones were her companions. She endured this hell for months, until the raiders were attacked by the very people whom they hunted. In the chaos Rosinante was able to escape that hell hole and escape to the outside
Lightning
Rosinante walked the wilderness alone for weeks, barely being able to hunt and on the verge of starvation. That was until she found herself in Lightning territory. She found an abandoned Badger Hole on the outskirts just few bears lengths away from the border where she set up her permanent residence. She was aware of the cats that patrolled the area, always watching from afar and away from them. She learned how to hunt by observing hunting parties, and familiarized herself with the territory over the weeks she spent there. Her life of solitude came to a stand still when she was found by a patrol and brought before Opal. Her skill as a Ranger was recognized by her ability to have evaded the many lightning patrols for so long and she was offered a place in the Empire, while Rosianante accepted it, she was uncomfortable in the camp setting, so she returned to her Badger Hole Home. She will often come into camp to share her hunts, and learn how to be a true Empire cat someday.
