Huh, saw your comments about HDR: I'd never known that was how you get photos like this, and had always thought it was just supreme talent (or perhaps a fluke!)... I really must invest in a better camera now.

HDR is pretty easy when you know how it works and can play with the shutter speed on your camera. But, you still need a good subject! Too many people rely on HDR to make a shot interesting and you end up judging the HDR and not the photo itself.

That's often a problem, I've noticed - not so much with HDR, but with any special effect that can be used. People get so excited about it, they totally forget the point of the photograph in the first place!

Like I said, 5 pictures of the exact same thing with different exposures put together. With that go have more color than just 1 picture.
