Winter was here a month ago! This is what I found when I hiked up to Two Rivers Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park in late September. I was expecting brilliant subalpine colors like 2008, but instead I found a world largely covered in white. I was shocked that nearby Lake Helene was completely frozen over already. From my experience it is rare to get a still morning in this location, so I took advantage of the reflection of Notchtop.Related content
