Description Not so much a skin for FireFox as a skin for a site that you can use with FireFox 1.5. Naturally I should point out that this wouldn't exist without the input of many people over in this thread: [link] . Here's a few features:

* All of the various pages are now skinned (except for login, which could be done fairly easily but would be part of a different domain).
* Removed the annoying blue stripes on some elements.
* When you're reading a message, the 'sponsored links' have been removed and the tools are now above the message you are reading so you now have more width to play with.
* The web clip bar is now skinned.
* The 'invite a friend' table is now skinned.
* I've removed the 'expando snippets' when you mouse-over messages in your in-box. You can add it back in by editing gmail.css (search for snippets).
* All of the images are inline. If you want to change them you can just set them to a URL on some web-site or you can get yourself a copy of base64.exe and make them inline yourself.
* You can change the .Mac logo by replacing the URL where it says /* change this to get different email pic */.

So how do you use this puppy? Unzip the attached file into the chrome foler in your firefox profile folder [link] . Go to your firefox profile folder/chrome and edit userContent.css. If there isn't a userContent.css you can just create one with nothing in it. Then, at the very top of this file add the following line:

@import url("gmail.css");

Remove any remnants of previous skins for Gmail from your userContents.css file. Restart firefox and all should be well. If it isn't, make sure you were in the right profile folder, that you put the import at the very top and that you entered it exactly as it is shown above, that gmail.css is where you think it is, that you're using FireFox 1.5 etc. etc.

Hi, I have a problem, that might have to do with my updating Firefox *shame on me* you see, last update turned it into version 2.0.0.9 and the files have stayed the same exactly, I tried downloading it again and no luck, the thing is the Gmail look has gone back to normal and I have been using this skin since I switched to Gmail (a loooong time ago ) any possibilities that you could help me?
Thanks in advance ^^

Still having no luck.
I'm using FFox 1.5.0.7 and put the gmail.css in the following folder "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ml7ul6kj.default\chrome".

There was no userContent.css , just two example files. I made a new userContent.css and put "@import url("gmail.css"); in it. Restarted FFOX and nothin. Still the old view.
What stupid thing am I overlooking?

I've been using this skin for gmail since you launched it - i get a shock now when i see gmail in it's 'normal' style

Do you have any plans to update it to take into account the various changes in gmail since then ?

And with so much of your stuff floating around the interweb, do you ever sleep ?

Judge

if @-moz-document url([link] ),
url-prefix(mail.google.com/),
domain(google.com)

is changed to:

@-moz-document url-prefix([link] ), ([link] ){

google calendar is unnaffected - currently the names of calendars are invisible

I'll probably try and keep it updated - at least for the parts that stop working for me.

This is sooo cool. I love to customize things on my desktop and this is just icing on the cake. Installed in under a min and works like a dream (sorry Amidamaruflame but I have been skining firefox for years now so I know my way around, your not a retard). Anyways this rocks and I hope you keep up the good work, eventhough I am not sure what you could improve on this! ^_^ +fav
