I got a sudden alpacasso-craze virus, and I'm sure BlackOutDoll is the one to blame! xD ΒI use to think they're cute but now I just had the urge to make one for myself.
This alpaca is made of soft polyester (basically the same material with minky, so its really soft), polyfil, German glass eyes and fleece for the face applique. (I would maybe change the eye applique to minky when I have to order fabric).
She stands 15 cm tall.

I don't know if I would use actual minky for an alpaca as the material is so short and smooth.Β If you can find some that has a higher nap then that might work.Β I like the fabric you used as it gives it that furry look.

nope, I won't use actual minky myself which is why I'm glad I found this one. this one is more flexible than minky, but its as smooth as minky as its base is also polyester. thank you!

Wish we had something like that in my fabric store...they are soooooo limited when it comes to minky and fur type fabrics.

I also just scrap anything I can get in hand. the fleece I got are from adult blankets, and this furry ones are from baby stuffs - blankets and other things. which is why its really soft.
