It is dooooooooooone. *bounces madly*This one kept me occupied over... well... quite a while now. Completely had me hooked. And I gotta admit it's been a long while since I was this happy about the outcome of a drawing. The guy simply worked for me, yes he did.
The image itself was spawned by the 'Creature Feature' challenge over on WetCanvas, where you were supposed to draw your personal version of an 'Ichtyocentaur'... basically a mer-centaur. So I got to draw something that's part horse and under water. My kinda thing.
Time spent on this was way too long XD. And as always, colored pencils, this time on what at some point was light blue paper.

Thanks! I try to get my creatures look somewhat natural where the anatomy is concerned. Though that has often lead to odd creations when a muscle appeared that did not quite fit into the spot where I put it.

Ohh that looks like a fun challenge indeed! So many details and textures. I love his color scheme and the markings on his skull. You've always been so awesome at making exotic creature designs.
