Draco Malfoy contemplates a Muggle quote
'Adversity makes Men, whilst Properity makes Monsters'
Upon learning of the way his rival Harry Potter was raised, as opposed to the opulence of Malfoy Manor, Draco begins to question the true nature of the Malfoys.
I always liked that quote, and during my bi-weekly 'Smallville' binge (my DVR can keep up to 6 episodes, aired 2 a day back to back at around 4 or 5 am) I realized the parallels between the Luthors and the Malfoys early on in the series.
A YouTube reviewer I watch called JeremyJahns described the Smallville version of Lex Luthor in his reaction to the casting of Man of Steel 2:
