Look what I found! They're making TLK 4 - no, I'm joking. We wish though! But seriously, I think I found my screenshot technique
Anyhow, story time (and because I haven't drawn Zira properly before, ever).
I think something happened when Zira was a little girl that changed her life forever. Something happened that scarred and traumatised her. The event made her gradually habour the unhealthy obsession with power. Zira's move from her homeland to the Pridelands was no accident. She had heard that there lived a great King. The King had a brother with no mate. And so began her plot . . But I think her ways can be traced back to the thing that happened in her childhood, whatever that may be . .

What could traumatize Zira? That's why it's so much fun to make some stories about her. The possibilities are endless 
I hope that they won't make TLK4. I mean, after seeing TLK1&1/2... I was pretty corny.

Hmm. What could traumatize Zira like that? Something made her a crazy bitch. Or at least got her started on that path. A gradual transformation, so to speak. Something...something...what? Hmm. I'd need to think on that.

I have a theory that Zira grew up in the Pridelands and was happy and normal, I think it was Scar that turned her evil through emotional abuse; he made her reliant on him and unable to function without him so that when he died she snapped. I see her as another victim of Scar's rein.

Ohh that's a very interesting theory. I can see that as a very plausible explanation to Zira's character!

you know in my "before simba" book, zira showed up as a little cub in the pridelands because her father had kicked out her, her mother, and her brother out of the pride, because her mom stood up to the dad when he was abusing them. and then the mom died from a sickness and the brother died trying to hunt. those were my "life changing expiriencess" that i made up for zira. what do you think, juffs?

Well I think they're definitely very traumatic events. But how does Zira survive on her own as a cub?

the day that her brother died was the day that scar found her. but she only stayed in the pridelands for a few days because she was banished by ahadi when she tried to steal some food that he had just caught. (he didn't know that she was a part of the pride) then she ran back to the outlands and found a new pride to stay with until she grew and unleashed revenge on her father. i think it's actually a very clever story.

In my version she's abused as a child by a father who wanted a male to carry on his name...(Yeah I know, a little cliche and it's been done...but it makes sense IMO) then she meets a nice cub who actually wants to play with her...his name is Taka.
And uhm...she's also the descendent of Choyo (My name for the selfish lion...)
Although...I thought about scrapping everything having to do with the books...and just do something based off the movies entirely...
