Now this, this is much better! It still doesnt accomplish "fantasmic" pen tooling like I had wanted to do today, but its alot better off in every other department then my last submission.**edit** I made the inside a bit darker, and the outside a bit lighter to up the contrast between the 2.

I love this (well i love almost all of your artwork, so this is nothing new) very well done i agree with faxorX in that it might look a bit better with a slightly darker background but still it looks great

I really dont think Ill go darker with the outside area. Im actually going to go lighter out there, then a a bit darker on the inside, it will be more like the look I was originally going for I hope.

I think the lighter on the outside would be a good idea, and by the darker comment, i meant on the inside part around the cityscape.
and the link was to a smiley because i was trying to figure out how to use them.
btw could you go and comment some of my deviations if you have the time.

and ness is doing good, she is very very very miserable right now because shes a little bit over 7 months along now, the pregnancy is going great so far, no complications what so ever which is great because of the fears we had...
oh and we found out its going to be a BOY!!!

Very nice. Now this is much better. The color difference really denotes the title here. Have you seen Dark City. If not you should check it out. Your recent works really reminds me of that.

What is dark city? Becuase no, I have not seen it I dont think.
This one still doesnt encompase the orriginal palette I was working with, but I do like the over all coloring of it. Im planning on opening it here in a bit and editing the outer stroke at least, perhaps a bit of a coloring change also.

outer border area i guess, its a yellowish tint which implies daytime, yet the inside is more nighttime themed.
like i said, either way i love it

As with my big city nights one, I wanted a more creamy, light color to enhance the darkness and boldness of the other colors in the middle. In my mind the 2 places, outside and inside the oval, are 2 different places. I almost was going for a sort of "looking down on a canvas basin, where the center is bowled down, and that is where the city scene is located."
If that makes sense lol.
