It was even on Youtube in the Anime Expo panel near the end. Yes it was awkward of me embarrassing myself in front of her.

well have 2 say great pose .. it's a very dynamic pose (i have the hardest trouble not making my people look like statues lol)
what program are you using now that you have a tablet.. ?? if i may say just a little workpoint is maybe the steadyness of your linesΒ

a think you got to keep in mind is that the silhouette should also be recognisable.
I use Krita but still make a sketch on paper at first. the lines is something I still got to work on indeed. but I haven't worked with my tablet for that long yet

ooo i used 2 do my sketch also in paper but i switched 2 fully digital .. (cheaper loll) well i downloaded krita it's so hard ! i would have 2 look at it for a couple of days 2 figure everything out... that's what i like about paint tool sai .. no thinking about difficult things Β Β .. just drawing loll (and just drew a line in krita and it doesnt look like my line would in paint tool sai sooo probably also bit of setting things on order with the pen tool i also like my lines 2 go from wider 2 small with a pen Β you have pressure settings that you can adjust.. and what also helps for me sometimes is zooming in and i mean really zooming in (also a large pixel white sheet so you can zoom in)
well it's supposed 2 be more a constructive feedback because i am totallly not an expert if you look at my drawings there is lots 2 improve ... but hey i will go for it
(oo and btw when i first got my tablet i stored it like for a half year because i got totally stressed about it loll so yess i had lots of trouble adjusting 2 the tablet drawing Β )

haha I did pretty much the same with my tablet xp too stressed and felt I couldn't do it, now I think it's easier or at least better.
and all criticicm is good when it's constructive, I do need to improve a lot and am working on it so all advice is good. I talked to a comic book artist recently too and he said that the one person telling you the negative stuff about your drawings is the person you need to listen to, because he'll point out the stuff you still need to work on

well it's true best learning from people who are a bit critical in their views... i have such a boyfriend lol i was gonna make a halloween drawing but my drawing is not good enough so no halloween drawing for me this year (he tells me the straight/sometimes harsh truth but also is stricter now then when i just got the tablet.. lol)
well don't think you should change. krita is just fine and a good program just giving an alternative if you ever think 'nope gone with krita' lol
but 2 give you a positive thing in most of your drawings of real people =>even if you simplify your drawing (cartoon/mange like because well your not a realistic drawer) i can recognise who it is ... and that's something because it is truly different from 'real' people and still i know who you are drawing
