Description
I used the dull side of Casa satin for both the cream and orange parts of yayoi's dress (as well as her hat and bandana). I wanted a more orange-orange than the yellow-orange that was in the show. The orange slices and green hat stem are made from good ol' felt. I sewed the orange design onto the felt, cut them out, and then heat and bonded them onto the dress. The boot covers were made from an orange stretchy fabric in which I then stuck on the cream "seeds". The trim on the skirt was an expensive trim I found at Joann's. The cream-colored orange design on the skirt was just cut out and heat-and-bonded onto the skirt.
