did shadow weaver actually appear in the TV with the rest of the horde? i noticed all the female horde members were absent (unless one of those floating hooded mages was Shadow Weaver)

No she didn't appear in toon. Most fans speculated that the hooded characters could be close in kind to Shadow Weaver.
She did make an one panel appearance in the comic's Volume 2 ending issue.

I love this pic, along with all the MOTU work that you've done...especially the 2001 series stuff. There's a lot of unexplored territory with fans with fertile minds to explore--I've done some dabbling in it, myself, from a way of Teela discovering Adam's secret to the introduction of a new Evil Warrior for Skeletor's ranks, to Hordak's advent and perhaps even the appearance of Princess Adora!
Ahem...rambling, here...
The unspoken story behind this pic--Hordak and Shadow Weaver on the verge of breaching GraySkull, with the Sorceress and Teela (who has more than likely had some of her mystical heritage awoken by her mother) valiantly fighting to keep them off--is excellently depicted. Well done, Jukka...well done, indeed.
Ahem...say, where IS this fic located, anyway? I would very much like to read it.

I meant to say is that you should put up links to this fanfic with every piece of art that you do for it. It makes it a lot easier to read it that way. ;D

The Sorceress, Teela, Hordak, some chick I don't know... Its a real shame the revival was so short lived. Seems like there is a lot of mythos left to explore.
