I am not all that great at writing critiques, but as soon as I saw this picture, I just couldn't help but writing one!
First things first, the bokeh in the background is wonderful! I really like the glint it gives the picture!
Second of all, I like the background color. Instead of you giving it a black or some other color you made it peaceful and a lot more colorful.
Third thing I had to say was the focal point of the picture is amazing. The colors reflected in the main dew drop add a awesome beauty that catches the eye.
Forth and lastly is I really love all the other dew drops around the main dew drop. It adds a sense of busyness that isn't completely over over the top. It adds more artisticness than anything.
In a nut shell, great job on the whole thing, really enjoyed the shot and it deserves a place in my favorites and everyone else's favorites here on DA. Great job!

I actually don't have a macro lens, what I do have is a set of macro filters - same effect, just much cheaper

Yes they are. And don't you worry, it's all about trial and error, and you'll eventually get things right. I've read a LOT of tutorials on how things are done so that's always helped me a lot
