you did another strider WOOOOOOOOO!! loved your first one with copics cuz. It was insane, your style has changed a fair bit since then aswell and its lookin sweet!! are your lines done with fine liner or photoshop? reason i ask is that they are really really clean and crisp. i also see you've gone back to a type of cel shading technique. always amazed by your understanding of light source and how to shade clothing.

thanks matty!! yeah ive improved a lot over the last few weeks. done heaps of drawings that ive yet to upload but it all shows a clear improvement!! ah the lines were done, would ya believe it in ball point pen. they actually look a lot better done in pen than fine liner coz that shit just bleeds every where whilst you can actually maintain a lot of control over the way the pen handles, plus it looks a lot better when scanned and you still get a lot of the texture of the page coming through which is what i go for

ahhhhhh i used to draw in blue pen so i know exactly what you mean dude ill have to get on the black pen then, although line weight would be harder to do im assuming. I can't wait to see your new stuff, i got a few projects on the go at the same time which probably shouldnt be happening all at once lol. ahwell. Get 'em up asap if ya can

im doing a lot more drawing in pen, its actually quite fun and less restricting (i find) than working in pencil. when i use pencil im too careful so i make more mistakes where as with pen it just comes naturally. line weight shouldnt be more difficult to control using a different coloured pen, its really about knowing where certain lines need thickening or thinning...

well i wasnt really talking about the colour more the fact that the pen would be harder to make thick lines with? maybe im just over thinking. nevertheless you got some awesome style coming through dude!!

nah not necessarily, i actually find it easier to vary the line weight with a pen than with a fine liner and it actually looks better too. having said that though just practice with what works for you!!
