first painting? its beautiful. some tips i think you might want to learn is put atleast 2 coats of paint. i usually do 3 so you cant see the canvas, the paint will stays on better and more colorful. the wolf is just beautiful, all the strains of hair gives it a really nie touch. its nice to see all the highlights and shading on the wolf, looks so real. i'm glad to hear your dad is also teaching you how to paint beacuse that medium is hard to work with if you don't have all the necessary materials. is this your first oil painting or just first painting? if its first painting... yea i did that and now i hate acrylic just for starting oil first, not sure if you will if you try that. well good thing oil is better than acrylic so you made an excellent choice.
