The day I was fearing the most came. Today I had to bid farewell to my one and only love, companion, best friend... Shoppy. She was more than a pet, she was my family, she was the most important being in my life. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with "Cushing's syndrome", and sadly, there was nothing much to do. She spent the last years with me, and I was to believe she was happy despite being so sick. I did everything in my power I could for her, but at the end this was stronger than any of us.

I feel lost. I did everything with Shoppy: sleep, eat, watch stuff, play... if I felt sad, she was there. If I was happy, she was here. She was always there. She won't come now when I call out her name or when I open a pack of cookies. Not now, not ever. I had to do this little tribute, this drawing for her. I don't know how I'll get through this, but eventually I will. No dog ever will fill her place, but I plan on owning another dog fairly soon. I really need a canine companion in my life all the time. They're the best thing on this planet.

A lot of people had to go through this, so let me tell you: I'm so sorry. I'm sure every dog, cat, every pet is in somewhere special and safe, watching over us, sometimes visiting us... who knows...
