Description
Kei felt a bump in the back of her head from where she had landed with her head against the stone. It was soar with some dry blood, but other than that she was fine. C.L on the other hand was not fine. His mask was thrown away. It must have come of when Lance kicked and punched him in the face. C.L’s face was swollen, filled with bruises and blood. He was still on the ground. Kei noticed that he had a deep wound in his shoulder and the blood dripped slowly down his arm.
“I’m fine…“ said C.L quiet in Kei’s mind to comfort her. “It’s nothing“. He took his eyes away from Kei and looked up at Cher Ami when he noticed the her blood dripped down on his shoulder.

“Cher Ami…” C.L tried to pull himself up, but didn’t succeed.
“I come down to you”. She sank down next to C.L and laid herself on her side and exhaled exhausted.
“Kei..? Can you walk?” Kei was not use to hear C.L and jumped slightly when she heard him in her head.
- Yes… Yes, I can walk…
“Look for a needle in my saddlepack and my bottle of whine”. Kei nodded and got up. She wiggled to the side, as she started to walk. She was very dizzy but ignored the shaky feeling. She searched through the pack, found a tiny needle, the wine and returned to C.L and the Friesian. On her way she picked up his mask and handed it over to C.L who took it.
- What will you use as a thread? Asked Kei when she saw C.L snatch some hair from Cher Amis thick black mane and pulled through the eye of the needle.

Cher Ami was a patient horse. She didn’t say a word during the whole time, not even in their heads. C.L talked calmly to her as he sew in her flesh and poored whine into the wounds to sterilize it. Kei observed, afraid that she would distract C.L during the progress. Cher Ami seemed to drift further away as the time passed. She closed her eyes and her breathing reduce speed for every minute until she almost didn’t breath at all. Kei got worried and had to ask.
- Is she going to be okay? C.L didn’t look at her but he answered.
“I put her to sleep. No internal organs was hurt, just muscles and flesh…” he sighed. “She will be alright, just give her a day or two and she will be her old charming self“.

C.L sighed loudly when he was finished. He had struggled to attach the muscles and flesh, and was finally done. He fell backwards towards the ground and hit it hard. Kei ran up to him and leaned over him. His wound looked bad.
- We got to do something about that. Of with the jacket. Kei believed that she would manage when she saw the actual injury, but when she saw it she couldn’t proceed.
“I’ll take care of it”, sighed C.L tiresome. He was about to start to sew into his own skin when he saw that there was no more hair in the needle. Kei snatched a couple of hairs from herself and handed them over to C.L.
He started to sew and he mound unwillingly. It sure was painful to do this yourself. It must take allot of control to succeed and he drank the whine while he sewed.

C.L exhaled and dropped the needle to the ground. He had sewed the worst injuries and was exhausted.
He leaned against a stone on the ground and closed his eyes.
“Call Moniet…” it was just a mumble in Kei’s head when she heard him.
- I… I don’t know if I can…
“Call her, or she will be lost”. He inhaled. “She isn’t like Cher Ami”.

Kei walked down the hillside as she called for the Arabian. She shouted so it echoed through the valleys below. She continued to walk when she heard a horse close by. She shouted again and the Arabian appeared behind a stone. She peered at Kei and started to walk. They walked up the hillside together back to the camp and the others.

“We need to seek shelter” whispered C.L. “For some time”. Kei nodded.
“We will ride over that hilltop, through the forest and there will be a place we are safe. We ride in the first light…”
