Great art. I particularily enjoy how the light colors give a dynamic feel to it, as if the somewhat flat nature of anthropomorphic art is improved from the original and lends the theme coherence. Borrowing from the positive aspects of unrealistic art with a realism.Β
Also, this is kind of unrelated and takes away from the compliments I gave above but needs to be said because I see it so few in Deviantart: thanks for being one of the few My Little Pony front page artists not to take a screenshot and almost not edit it at all, showing a lack of appreciation for art and doing a disservice to good artists in The My Little Pony community. We have so many who try to profit off the popularity and deny better artists their time to profit and I'm glad you don't do that.

No, that's different because it brings attention to other artists and is made with the artist's permission [some of the front page are clear plagiarisms of official My Little Pony artists who didn't ask for others to profit off their work].Β
And in regards to the edits on front page, I don't have a problem with regular editing, because it's fun, but the issue is when it infringes on other art. Art shouldn't be a popularity contest, there is a difference between a Michaelangelo and the modern blobs that were made in five minutes by a hipster looking to make a quick buck. Both have their interest, but only the former helps improve the moral of society. That takes precedence over trends. To sum it up my issue is less with the editing artist and more on the consumerism that leads low quality work to be valued over high quality work.

I believe twilight is a recluse & never abandon her studies to search for the elements of harmony or moved into ponyville. Hence never becoming an alicorn or the princess of friendship.
