If I were editing this...I would add some depth! Use perspective (prob 1 point). Throw a vanishing point in there and have the text conform to this as if they were walls of a cavern. I'de put the vanishing point wherever you want attention drawn, as the eye will naturally gravitate towards this point. I would also throw the text behind the blue-ish figure.
Sorry if this has already been suggested, as I didn't read all the posts...

Im not sure if it was intentioned to make it look like the text adds to the perspective.
I dont think it would be looking better. Plus even If I wanted to follow your instructions I dont have access to the .ufo editable files now. My bad ^^

Don't get me wrong, it looks great the way it is. I didn't mean to come off rude, but you did ask for critique.

To the question of getting rid of 'tv lines' Extremely High resolution render - scale down to 'normal' size (for example render in 4000x3000 and then resize the rendered image to 1600x1200 or 1024x768)... the resize will 'smooth' a lot of issues when scaling down.
I really like the overall 'look and feel of this one.

I didnt even knew they come by accident ... never experienced it .. but i usually dont render at small resolutions ... so perhaps thats why.
Does it look bad like this?

If you see this purple I would recommend checking the color temperature of your monitor.
It is rather a nice blue.

Hey, thats really cool. The render is very good, but im not too crazy about the 2d, maybe take the text away and add a few shapes or whatnot. But otherwise goodjob man.
