I don't quite know what happened here. I started off trying to do a sort of anime style thing with Ruby, but then tried to make it more cartoony and then THAT happened. I tried to mimic it with Weiss, but it didn't work as well. Whatever style this is, I started to get the hang of it when I did Yang and Blake, but it probably helps that they aren't facing the front. Tried shading them too, but...that just wasn't working. I still can't figure out how to do lighting/shading on hair, so that messes up the rest of the shading.Also left in a sketchy little Blake doodle.
Do you guys think this style looks good?(focus more on Yang and Blake. They are the good examples). I don't really know what to use it for, but I wanna try it more.

To be fair it does kinda mirror the art shift from Season 3 to 4. I could see some mileage out of it cause it looks pretty good.

I rather like it. It's got just the right mixture of soft and sharp that says fun and yet alludes to seriousness. A lot of your stuff seems for fun and giggles, but I'd say if you ever want to do a longer, more serious story this would be the way to go.

The biggest thing that sticks out to me is how much more angular the designs seem to be. Which is an obvious contrast to most of your work. Yet it still manages to seep through somehow. If I had to pin it to a certain area of the face, it would probably have to be the hair, mouths, and eyes. The mouths certainly have a roundness to them but they also have deeper curves around the middle. Ruby and Yang being the biggest examples, but I like it!
I really do think you could get a whole new variety of comedy to your comics by just looking at these expressions with Ruby's wide-eyed face complete with an adorable smile, and Weiss' confused glance. Or condescension. Honestly with Weiss it could be either.
Of course, you'll continue to keep working on these but you're making great progress! Hope to see this style show up in a few comics in the future. Keep up the awesome work.

It might be too early to say this, but I wanna have it appear in a comic at some point. Not yet, since I still have to develop the style a bit, plus I got a lot of other comics that need to be done first
