Description Okay..., it seems that my text was unacceptable for the pixel art section. So, here is my solution to that problem: no text.

Other than that, all is the same. If you want to see the version with text, click on the following:
Victory Belongs to the Brave

Hope this is okay now.

-------------------------------
Whew!!! I finished it in time before my trip tomorrow!!!

This is a tribute stamp to the Civil War of the United States.
This is something that I made solely for my best friend. He alone is allowed to use it on his site, no one else. It's too big to put in your journal, anyway.

This was sooooo much work. You would not believe...

I slightly cheated on the grass. I created little blades of multi-toned grass and piled them up on each other little by little as I went.

The bark on the tree was a complete accident. I had no clue what to do with it; so I just started doodling around using my knowledge of what bark should look like; and walla! Miraculously, that happened! I still have no clue how I did it....

The pixelization was done with Paint.net.
The compilation was done with Gimp.

Basically, I did each individual element in Paint.net.
Then I took them and put them all together in Gimp. I laid down the blades of grass and the tree trunk and the musket and the forage cap and the sky and the clouds on top of one another in Gimp.

But that tree. Defeated general Robert Lee said something about a tree in his surrender speech at Appomatix.
